Protect - The Association of Companies and Individuals working in the UK Protection Markets.

Protect was formed in September 1999 by the major UK creditor insurers to take a leading role in collecting the views and opinions of the creditor insurance industry practitioners, along with those of its customers and clients and making these views known to the relevant trade associations, regulators and media. On 29th January 2010, Protect members voted in a new constitution which means that Protect membership is available to companies and individuals involved in the UK protection markets for insurance or related products and services. These products and services include, but are not restricted to, general & life insurance, payment protection, income protection, guaranteed asset protection, extended warranty, debt waiver / suspension / cancellation.

Since opening its doors to associate membership, Protect has become a cost efficient source of industry and regulatory news and updates for many companies not represented by the larger trade associations.

Its individual membership allows industry practitioners in between jobs and sole traders and consultants to stay in touch with market and product developments.

For all Protect Members and their guests the networking dinners or lunches provide excellent opportunities to meet up with friends old and new and catch up with what's happening in the market.
